Research Interests
I am interested in the effects of altered arginine metabolism in inflammatory diseases such as atherosclerosis and asthma. Arginase can regulate nitrc oxide production through substrate limitation. How does the temporal up-regulation of arginase affect leukocyte recruitment, cytokine production, and tissue remodeling in chronic inflammatory disease?
