Questions include: Which genes are actively expressed in leaf vs. fruit? Are there differences in upstream metabolite levels in leaf vs. fruit? Is there a preference for a certain biosynthetic pathway in these two tissues? Will overexpression of one or more genes results in an increase in ascorbate levels?
