The Exercise Science Graduate Group comprises students and faculty who share an interest in understanding biology at its most fundamental level.
Students and faculty members in the Exercise Science Graduate Group (EXSGG) study human physical activity, which is broadly defined and includes locomotion, sports, and physical labor. In their course work and research, students in the EXSGG integrate concepts from biochemistry, biomechanics, health sciences, human ecology, nutrition, physiology, and behavior to investigate both acute responses to and adaptive consequences of physical activity at all biological levels.
